Grand Canyon du Verdon

Description: Europe's widest and deepest gorge.

Attractions: There are two roads along both sides of the grand canyon with many fantastic view points. Driving all around will take a couple of hours. You can also walk down into the canyon (from the Falaise des Cavaliers) or take guides tours. Canoeing, rafting and rock-climbing are also possible.

Warning: Be aware of thieves! Always lock your car and watch your pockets and bags. Also be aware of the risks of hiking here. You need good shoes, water, sunlotion and you need to be in good physical condition!
