Grand Canyon du Verdon
Description:
Europe's widest and deepest gorge.
Attractions:
There are two roads along both sides of the grand canyon with many
fantastic view points. Driving all around will take a couple of
hours. You can also walk down into the canyon (from the Falaise
des Cavaliers) or take guides tours. Canoeing, rafting and rock-climbing
are also possible.
Warning:
Be aware of thieves! Always lock your car and watch your pockets
and bags. Also be aware of the risks of hiking here. You need good
shoes, water, sunlotion and you need to be in good physical condition!

can enter the Canyon by canoe or paddleboat for a short way. |
