Les Salles-sur-Verdon
Description:
New town (1972-75). The original historic village (mentioned in
1038) was destroyed when the Lac de Sainte-Croix was created.
Attractions:
No real attractions due to the sad history of this town. But Les
Salles-sur-Verdon offers some good camp grounds along the lake and
free camper parking in town. From here you can visit the area (Grande
Canyon, Aups, Aiguines,...).

Camp
Walker at the Camping
"La Source", just below town and close to the
lake. There are some stores in town (good bakery!) but for bigger
and cheaper shopping you should drive to Aups
(30 min.). |
