 Broccoli Casserole


Ingredients

  • 1 lg. head Broccoli, cooked
  • 1/2-3/4 cup grated Cheese
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 250 gram Pasta-Macaroni, Spirals or shells(1/2 a big package)
  • Herbal seasoning (veggie bouillon cube)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Cayenne pepper or Tabasco
  • Dash of lemon juice
  • Preheat the oven to 375 (F)


This one is quite different from the usual side dishes we see at potluck dinners. It stems from Germany and uses noodles. Is almost like a macaroni and cheese with broccoli in it.

Description

Cook the broccoli and cut into bit size flowerettes and pieces. I cook the pasta in the liquid form the broccoli, and place both in a baking dish. Using the milk beat the eggs and add seasonings, easiest is to add a veggie bouillon cube and a dash of lemon juice. Pour over the pasta, broccoli and mix well. Bake covered for 45 min. and if you want the top crunchy take the cover off for the last 10 min. We place the Tabasco on the table for those who like it really spicy.
