Description
Preparation Wafer Crust:
Oil a pie pan.
In a blender or a food processor, "crush" cookie wafers. (either vanilla or
chocolate wafers, graham crackers or digestive cookies)
Add the oil and pulse the mixture to make fine crumbs.
Add just enough water to hold the mixture together.
Press in into the bottom of the pan and along the sides.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350 (F) or (175 C). Cool
Preparation Chocolate Pie filling:
Melt the chocolate.
Put all ingredients in a food processor and process until very smooth.
Pour into the cooled pie crust and refrigerate until firm (at least 4 hours,
better overnight)
Decorate for serving by making chocolate curls. These can be made by using a
vegetable peeler along the side of a dark chocolate candy bar.
Alternatively, you can grate a chocolate candy bar for fine crumbles all
over the top.
(Variations: many different forms of sweeteners can be used maple syrup,
various jams, brown rice syrup, karo syrup even pureed prunes. Amounts can
vary as well, depending on your taste.
