 Lemon Meringue Pie
   

Ingredients

  • Egg Yolks
  • 6 Egg Whites
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup Lime Juice
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
  • 9 inch pie crust
 


Description

  • Beat the egg yolks until lemon colored. Blend in the sweetened condensed milk slowly.,
  • Add the lime juice and mix well
  • Beat the egg whites separately, add the cream of tartar and sugar and continue beating until whites make peaks.
  • Pour the filling into the pie shell and top with the meringue (egg white mixture)
  • Bake in a slow oven 330 (F) until golden brown.
